Marketing
What is promised, and to whom.
ASSESSMENT
Whether your go-to-market is a system or a collection of habits.
WHAT THIS MEASURES
The GTM Coherence Assessment measures how deeply your go-to-market function is institutionalised — not how mature it is. Maturity implies a destination. Coherence measures whether the parts are actually connected.
You declare one operating profile — what you are optimising for — then answer twelve questions across your GTM functions. The instrument measures whether marketing, sales, and customer success are operating from the same reality or from three separate ones.
What is promised, and to whom.
What is qualified, and on what basis.
What is delivered against what was sold.
What you say you are optimising for.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
System coherence is a weakest-link blend: half the mean, half the minimum. A single disconnected function moves the number.
The result tells you where you stand. What you do with it is yours.
A single number measuring how connected the parts are.
Your archetype, with what it means operationally.
The domain where coherence is lowest.
Where your declared profile and your actual answers diverge.
WHO THIS IS FOR
B2B SaaS companies. Series A through Series C. 50 to 250 people. Companies where marketing, sales, and customer success exist as separate functions — and where the forecast feels less predictable than it should.
YOU SHOULD TAKE THIS IF
FROM RESULT TO NEXT QUESTION
Whether marketing, sales and customer success operate as one connected system or from separate versions of reality.
Activity can increase while coherence falls. The instrument makes the weakest connection visible before another plan is layered on top.
The result identifies an operating pattern, the primary gap and where the declared profile diverges from day-to-day behaviour.
A meaningful gap can be examined as an organisational or function-level intervention around the decisions, evidence and hand-offs involved.
This instrument establishes an initial read. A deeper intervention examines the real organisational, function or workflow problem behind it. See all instruments →
